Deep Conditioning Treatments

Everyone’s hair suffers from damage inflicted by daily styling, hot tools, chemicals, sun exposure, and more. It may feel overwhelming—the things that come between you and your good hair days.

Here’s a little pro secret: Even if you feel your hair isn’t damaged, deep conditioning is a great preventative tool to maintain your healthy looking hair. If you already have healthy looking hair, you may ask yourself: is it necessary to deep condition? The answer is: All hair needs regular deep conditioning. Whether it’s considered healthy or has some damage, your hair will surely benefit from the nurturing and hydrating ingredients that deep conditioners offer. After deep conditioning, hair looks shinier and healthier, feels softer and silkier, and is more manageable.

Mathis Salon & Spa has a wide variety of Deep Conditioning Treatments and Masques for any and all hair types! Be sure to add to any service for the ultimate hair experiance!

5 Reason's you need a deep conditioning treatment:

  • Heat Damage

Flat irons, curling wands, and blow dryers strip your hair’s moisture—our treatment puts it back in.

  • Chemical Services

Color, bleach, keratin, relaxers... they can all leave your hair thirsty and stressed. Deep conditioning helps rebuild and restore.

  • Seasonal Stress

Sun, wind, cold air, and humidity all play a role in hair dehydration and breakage.

  • Split Ends & Frizz

Dry hair = frizzy, unmanageable hair. A nourishing treatment smooths the cuticle and seals in shine.

  • You Style Daily, But Never Treat

It’s time to give your hair a break—and some serious love.

Protect, Strengthen, and Rebuild Your Hair from the Inside Out

Bonding Treatments

Bonding treatments are the insurance policy your hair needs—especially when coloring, lightening, or chemically treating. Don’t just color—protect your investment.

What is a bond building treatment? Why do I need one and what can it do for my hair?

These are common questions our clients ask us, and the short answer is it is a treatment that protects the bonds in your hair from breaking and helps to rebuild bonds that have broken due to chemical damage (colour, straightening and perming)

Your hair is made of a protein called Keratin, the keratin forms fibrous structures that are held together inside the hair strands by Disulphide bonds. These bonds gives the hair its strength, shape and elasticity.

Repeated coloring, lightening, chemical services and the regular use of thermal equipment can weaken and damage these bonds causing the hair to become brittle, dry and dull and in extreme cases of over coloring and lightening the hair will become so weak it will break.

Why bonding treatments matter?

Coloring your hair is exciting—but it can be harsh. Bleach, developer, and dye all break down the internal bonds that give your hair strength, structure, and elasticity. Without those bonds?

  • Breakage
  • Frizz
  • Elasticity loss
  • Thinning ends
  • Uneven color results

Bonding treatments repair and rebuild those broken bonds while you color—in real time—leaving your hair stronger, shinier, and healthier than before.

Everyone should add a bonding treatment to every service!

Here’s why our stylists recommend a bonding treatment with every lightening or color service:

  • Prevents damage during the chemical process
  • Improves hair strength and elasticity
  • Seals color in longer with less fading
  • Reduces breakage and post-color shedding
  • Adds visible shine and softness instantly

Think of it like skincare—would you get a chemical peel without using moisturizer afterward?

Keratin Treatments

A keratin treatment is a process that smooths and often straightens hair. It involves applying pure natural keratin to the hair, blow-drying it, and sealing it with a flat iron. Keratin is a natural type of protein in your skin, hair, and nails.

FAQ's

How often should I get a deep conditioning treatment?

Can I add this to my color appointment?

Absolutely! In fact, it’s highly recommended after any chemical service to restore balance and shine.

Is this safe for extensions or keratin-treated hair?

Yes! We’ll select a treatment that’s safe for your specific hair type and needs.

Will bonding treatments make my color last longer?

Yes! Stronger hair holds color molecules better and fades less between appointments.

Can I get this even if I’m not coloring today?

Absolutely. Bonding treatments are also a stand-alone repair service for already damaged or over-processed hair.

How often should I get a bonding treatment?

We recommend it with every chemical service, and monthly as a strengthening boost.
