I'm Amanda Mathis
—founder, and heart behind Mathis Salon & Spa! My husband, Mike (my rock - and he keeps me in line :)), and I poured my passion into building a space where beauty meets business—and where everyone who walks in feels empowered, pampered, and a little bit spoiled.
How it all started ...
What started as a tiny suite with big dreams has come full circle — and in the best way possible.
After years of growth, expansion, and incredible milestones, Mathis Salon & Spa has returned to the suite life — this time in Shenandoah, TX — stronger, wiser, and more intentional than ever before. What once began as a dream has evolved into something deeply personal, purpose-driven, and aligned with the way I truly want to serve.
After eight years in a storefront, this shift back into private suites wasn’t a step backward — it was a conscious decision to create something more meaningful. More connection. More creativity. More presence.

Today, our luxury private suites are designed to offer a calm, elevated, one-on-one experience where every detail is personal and every guest is truly seen.
I’ve been behind the chair for nearly 19 years, with over 100 awards and 123 certifications, but what matters most to me has never been the numbers. It’s the transformations, the confidence rebuilt, and the relationships formed along the way. Since opening my first salon in 2017, I’ve continued to do what I love most — creating beautiful hair, mentoring stylists, and helping women step into their confidence both inside and out.
Education has always been my heartbeat. Pushing boundaries. Raising standards. Showing women what’s possible when passion meets purpose. And while I’ve grown in countless ways, I’ve never stopped being a stylist at heart — blondes will always have my heart! 🩷
Family is at the center of everything I do. My daughter Alexis now works alongside me as a stylist, continuing the Mathis legacy with her own talent and creativity. My youngest, Payton, is an All-Star cheerleader and future aesthetic professional — and yes, I’m a very proud cheer mom.
This season is about alignment. About choosing depth over noise. Quality over chaos. And creating a space where beauty feels personal again.
